In an interview with Effective Corporate Evildoings magazine, a sweat-soaked Ballmer was chatting about how open source is a cancer that attaches itself in an intellectual property sense to everything it touches when he went to pull up a website to prove part of his point. The interviewer, Gern Blanston, moved around to Ballmer's side of the table to view the website Ballmer wanted to show him when he was taken aback by Ballmer's choice of web browser and home page.
"I was shocked to the point that I passed a wee bit of a toot. It made me feel not-so-fresh for the remainder of the interview," Blanston recalled.
When asked about his choice of internet platforms, Ballmer mentioned that the browser came pre-loaded on his Dell Laptop and he couldn't figure out how to uninstall it, change the homepage, or find where IE was.
